Male Common Blue Damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum)
First a moan. Why oh why show a long box for the title when you can only use 2/3 of it!
For our Wednesday away we planned, if the weather was decent, to go to Talkin Tarn. I wanted to see how the Rattle was getting on to compare it to ours in the wildflower meadow. During the walk we saw a lot of these Damselflies. Once they landed they were difficult to spot, fortunately Clickychick had the knack. Then the problem was following her description of where it was sitting despite the extended arm giving a guide. I had fitted a long lens hoping for birds, ideal for Damselflies and butterflies so you don't have to get close and disturb them
The extra is a mating pair that she managed to guide me to.
