Graduation Day Digger
I watched my granddaughter's graduation from Liverpool University Dental School on YouTube at lunchtime. I took some shots of the screen and would have dearly loved to have blipped one but decided not to in case it constituted an infringement of copyright.
The Chancellor spoke very touchingly from the wonderful Metropolitan cathedral of the 'family' of Liverpool alumni. Matilda was one of the first to graduate, presumably as she was awarded a First Class Honours degree. I loved how the graduates and The Chancellor exchanged doffs of their academic caps. It was very moving when all the medics recited the modern version of The Hippocratic Oath. So proud of what our girl has become, we knew she was special right from babyhood.
Our local friendly builder has been working on his 1970s Massey Ferguson backhoe loader which he keeps at ours. He hasn't used it for years. He has replaced the fuel tank and finally got it going after lots of bleeding.
