Completion - Mum's no more

Completion today. So, morning phone calls to Scotish Power with meter readings and MBC. A FB post from 7 years ago with a picture of mum - a timely coincidence - it felt like she was looking over the proceedings; hopefully she will be able to sort out the 'daft apeths', as she would have called them. Then, holding back a tear I rushed round town to bid farewell to Jan, the solicitor and estate agent.

After weeks of procrastinating by solicitors and several last minute enquiries, it was time to complete. I popped round to mum's for a last check - it felt so empty. I hope that the new owner will be as happy there as mum was. Left the key. Then I messaged the family - and relax.

After lunch a meet with J at the Prom zoo to chat about parkrun and DofE. At the end of each DofE student's volunteer stint there needs to be an assessment report. We met to discuss this. We got that done speedily, and then J had chance to chat about his foreign holidays, leaving do, daughter's job and leg recovery: I think that he appreciated the chat.
