To Hammersmith Bridge…

As it was warm I decided to do a longish bike ride to Hammersmith Bridge, across the river and alongside it to Chiswick Bridge and back via Richmond Park. Hammersmith. Bridge is still undergoing lots of repairs so is closed to traffic but you can walk across it. On the bridge there are various displays of photos from previous eras. See extra for the circuit.

Most of the ride was either through the park or along the towpaths  and  very little on busy roads. Lots of lovely old houses in Barnes and facing the river in Chiswick. The roads through Barnes leading to the bridge are very quiet while these repairs are going on. 
I have not done this route for nearly a year and I noticed many many more Lime and other similar bikes plus..lots of markings on cycle paths saying SLOW which is aimed at these electrics bikes. Although I think they are a good idea in principle when used sensibly unfortunately that is not always the case! 
I was planning to stop as a cyclists cafe in Mortlake..but it has closed. A real shame as they had a yard out the back where people could safely leave their bikes. 

I felt quite tired after this effort. So have had a quiet afternoon catching up on emails, deleting photos etc.
