The Railway Inn
At Pilates this morning we had a substitute teacher so the class was very different, we had to have a band round our legs for the while 45 mins….I was not keen!
Today was my daughters birthday so we took her out for lunch to a local pub The Railway In. Which is adjacent to Teddington Station. It is an independent pub and has a nice ( and cheap) set menu for lunchtime which we decided to try and we were pleased with.
It is a very old building and was originally built in 1869 as the Railway Refreshment Rooms as Teddington station had opened in 1863. It became the Railway Hotel and latterly the Railway Inn. It has a lot of the original features such as stained glass windows and inside lots of original wood panelling. Upstairs has been opened out and is now a nice big dining room which can be hired for parties etc.
The hanging baskets are looking good as usual.
Over 30C coming home so I’m having a quiet afternoon sorting out lots of magazines and doing a bit of my ‘Life Story’ about my secondary school days.
