Lyde (Day 3356)
A busy day started at stupid o'clock because my beautiful wife was going away on the first ferry south. After she left, I took Sigyn out for a wander and, after breakfast, got stuck in to clearing out the van.y plan had been to empty the van and head to town to collect pellets after a coffee. I hadn't had a sip of coffee when I got a message asking me to change a tap in town. After coffee I loaded some stuff.back into the van and hoped I had everything I needed. Typically the tap change wasn't as straightforward as I would have liked and took longer than it should have. I needed to find creative solutions to a couple of issues along the way, but I got it working then collected pellets for the boiler
Back home to drop the van off and change then zoom back to town on HV's motorbike to get it through another MOT test, then home to swap to my little bike and take it for an MOT too. Both of them passed as expected and it was good to engage in a little bit of banter at the bike shop.
Home to change and get out for a wander with Sigyn at Lyde in sunshine and warmth. After a very late lunch I headed to Stromness and put out hay for the horses and gave them all a check over and took some pics of them to send to HV.
Back home again to change and head off to a call out for a burst pipe. The repair took less time than the drive to the job.
So much for a day off!
