Brian's Bits

Unseasonal?

Being a bit gobsmacked, I looked it up; I found:-
"Planted in late summer and left to overwinter in the field, plants will produce an abundance of tender stems with bright purple sprouts starting in late February and producing through early May.
February - it ain't.  May - it ain't.  It was planted this year.  It matters not, one Tittle or Jot - "It'll git ett."  I actually bought some Spuds t'other day;  I'm not a huge fan of the Carbohydrate section Spuds lowest on list; personally I tend to be a bit unpatriotic - preferring Rice, or Pasta.
BUT, as I said above - It'll git ett.  I'm now curious to see if they do continue over winter.
