Brian's Bits

By Kanyl

Tempus fidgets furiously.

It doesn't see all that long since Mary was admiring my/our Acer. SO - I started an Air-Layer for her.
We were having a natter over the fence recently and I did a bit more scraping around the bald patch, as can be seen.
BUT
I didn't realise it was two years ago.  Last time I tried an air-layer I broke in WAY too soon - BUT - as that was in the old house & we've been in this one since 1987 memory fails on t he time scale then.
Any guidance welcome. e.g. Can I unwrap it, and re-wrap it, if there's a root shortage?  The last one (1985-6) had only one root and failed because I see rated it too early.
