Making use of a wire

Walked along the lower pipeline to where muddy pools separated the pipeline from the track uphill to the old pipeline running alongside Exhibition Drive. I heard a few tui, but couldn't locate them. Otherwise, the bush was silent.

Back on the streets, I thought I heard a large bird fly into a tree in front and to the side of where I was. Hard to see . Stopped looking, and there in front of me on the other side of the road was a Kereru (wood pigeon) on a wire. It showed no restlessness and I was able to get the right angle and posture.
