Ladybower bimble

Spent the day fitting the thing collected on wednesday (see extra) It just needs to be trimmed inside & out now. One hopes that it won't leak like the original one did.

Early evening I took other Mrs BB for a check up on something at the hospital which thankfully went well so we celebrated with a chippy tea because also...very peckish.

As youngest had been in a less than delightful mood during the day your Gal took her leave for another late bimble approaching dusk, riding over the Snake Pass to Ladybower Reservoir. A large group of sportbike riders were gathered on the ascent as one of their group had taken a tumble. He looked shaken but they didn't seem overly concerned, waving everybody past.

Pop-Popping over the summit and weaving down the other side a scooter rider signalled to slow down. Biscuit doesn't have BB scratching her knees on the corners but am grateful for the warning as there was a group of sheep around the next bend mistaking the A57 for an ideal spot to graze.

I never get tired of riding the wooded southern half of the pass as the view changes with the seasons and it's beautiful. The main blip was taken on the lane up to Derwent Dam. I didn't ride that far up as vehicles cannot get beyond a visitors car park. Ladybower is mirror-like in the background and the bridge is taking the A57 across it's northern reach.

From there the ride passed through Castleton, up the shivering mountain - Winnats Pass - and home via Chapel en le Frith, Whalley Bridge again & Marple. A very chill end to the day ^_^
