Calathea, I think
This lovely plant looks as though the leaves have been painted. It goes to sleep in the evening and wakes in the morning, a feature I do love in plants. Here it's half asleep.. It's a bit of an emergency blip, but there's a lot to celebrate in a successful house plant. M. is the nurturer and waterer indoors; I care for the outdoors which luckily seems to thrive on neglect. Another lovely day without too much to do. Tennis in the morning, a bit of housework and bed changing, then some writing in the afternoon, and quite a lot of helping M out with various money things. There's also a speech for him (us) to write for his sister's wedding next weekend.
I find I try not to look too far beyond small horizons at the moment; the bigger landscape is quite terrifiying.
