House Inspectors!

Quite often in the morning, the sparrows from next door's hedge come down to our kitchen steps and peck at the mortar in our walls!  I wonder if they use it for nesting material or whether they just like to eat it?  Who knows?  Anyway, it amused me to see a couple of them, one quite young, staring intently at the wall as if they were inspecting it, and I thought it would be silly enough for a Saturday!

The rising moon last evening was pink and beautiful.  I don't think it was completely full but today we won't see much as it's cloudy and drizzly once again.  I've added one of the first shots I took which also amuses me because the moon seems to have an expression of surprise on its face!
