Chedworth Roman villa

Today B and I went to Chedworth Roman villa. There were lots of interesting things to see and we went on a tour and talk with someone who had spent many years uncovering and preserving the mosaics. There was a natural spring water shrine that the romans used and many mosaics in different rooms where they had hot steam rooms and cold plunge rooms etc. There were some wild flowers around too. We saw the pyramidal orchid and the common spotted orchid. Also the Monarch’s way trail is just by the car park. On the way home we called back at the Cotswold lavender farm again. See more photos in extras.
