Notes: Up early but didn't drag myself out for the sweaty thick jog until 7a. Went to the pool after to cool but it was too warm and they overloaded it w/ chemicals yesterday. Finally heard from Al @820a just when I was settling in to have the day to myself and he said he'd love to see me. So geared up for the nearly 50 mi each way, put 2 NY Strips in the crock pot and left ~ 940a. Dad and then Ryan called w/ bday wishes and Mic texted before I got out the door and then talked to Mom when I got going. Blazing hot even w/ AC on and felt like I went so far north I might be in Georgia! Was a strange visit - very little appeared to be what I'd heard and he was repeating himself some ... not sure if he's starting to lose it a little but he was mostly positive so that was good. I took him to the nearby Publix for an 8-pack of yogurt (even tho he told me 2 days ago he'd just gotten 3 8-packs of them and his fridge was packed w/ goodies ... his fridge and freezer were completely empty except for about 5 little Yoplait's ???). I headed back just a few min after 12p. Another long hot drive back w/ much more traffic. Did go thru some torrential, hard-to-see rain but didn't last long. Made a call to Jason L from Ohio and chatted w/ him a bit and Derek called. Was so hot and tired but stopped at the N Publix on E Bay and picked out a unicorn balloon for myself (will show a pic another day) - in my recent talks w/ Jo, I've identified balloons as my sign spirit & my higher self are with me. Shower as soon as I got back and then laid down for a bit - meditation and rested before eating the steak w/ some sautéed zucchini and then another piece of cake w/ the homemade ice cream. Quiet night, feeling a bit out of it, streamed some shows.
