The Flower Belt

Frank had noticed a field of wildflowers as we drove out of Helmsley the other day which after some investigation we found out is called The Flower Belt. It was opening for the season this morning at 10am so after packing up and leaving our cottage we were the first people there. It was beautiful and the perfect end to the holiday. Rachel and I picked the wildflowers and Lando ran around making friends. 
After that we drove home and just like last year we got stuck in roadworks before the Tyne Tunnel! Frank says we are not going to pay for that privilege again. At least we won't have to pay another fine as I paid the toll immediately.
Unpacked the cars in pouring rain but it is supposed to be dry tomorrow. Rachel and I watched the semi final of the Sewing Bee.
