The Birthday Girl

My dear friend K was 70 yesterday and she threw a terrific party for friends and family this evening. Fabulous food and music, croquet on the lawn, and it was so good to see so many lovely people we hadn't seen for 10 years since her 60th! It rained a little but not enough to spoil proceedings. Later Dave let off an enormous rocket which exploded into a thousand stars into the night sky.
