The Red Barrows!

It's the day of the village carnival and I've been helping setting up the tea tent on the green which looks simply glorious on a day like today. At 1pm some of the village societies parade down the High Street accompanied by a marching band. At the end of the day lots of money will have been raised for local charities and a jolly good time will have been had by all. Nobody takes anything too seriously which is all part of the fun but my prize goes to the Horticultural Society who entered the parade as the Red Barrows complete with flying helmets, goggles and tiny moustaches! Who could not smile at this!
