Friendships

Yesterday, a very dear friend received some devastating news about her husband which means the weeks and months ahead are not going to be easy. In spite of all that, today I received a very touching note from her thanking me for being a friend in need. Like most people, I always feel quite helpless in these situations and quite unworthy of any thanks at all but of all the things I treasure, friends come very high up the list.
