Still a Boy

Dawson, eldest grandson through my husband's eldest is 16 and 6'4" though you would never know it here - looks ten as he peers over the high fence. He found a couch on a sidewalk down the street and was insistent on the family needing it - took a backpack down there and headlamp to read and kind of "claim" it - maybe somewhat attention getting - but oddly funny too.

This is his Mom's 50th birthday family celebration dinner - big surprise party tonight with friends from near and far it seems - and for them far is around the world with their Mercy Corps (a major US based NGO) assignments - but now dad is at headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Very nice to have them travel distance we can handle! (She loves the quilt I made!)
