Super party!

I’d like to tell you about the party but right now I am super sleepy…I’ll come back…

…I’m back ;-) Good morning! I had a great night sleep :-))
Ok, let me tell you about my weekend..
The “quinceañera” arrived at church in a horse with a band playing behind the horse and her court. It was raining and that didn’t stop her or anyone, umbrellas were up when rained hard. The priest was the same one that blessed our cabin, he travels to all communities and towns in the area.
When the mass was over, it was photo time, it took a while…good, the rain was lite then. Her horse was waiting for her and the band too. Oh boy! How hard it looked for her to jump on the horse with that dress!!
There she went…the same way…horse-court-band playing-then everyone else (seemed like the whole town) a few blocks and to the (open) community hall. Everyone is invited! Everyone even if they weren’t really invited is welcome. It is something that I like a lot, even if there’s no space, they just stand or find a nearby place to sit and the waiters will bring food and drinks. Ah! I haven’t told you about the vendors…yes, street vendors walking in between selling their goods, the ice cream man right outside. The music band, ready to play for hours and then be replaced by another live group (very well known) and a DJ in between bands.
Hubby and I were thinking about how much people spend in an event like that, but they are used to have “padrinos” (godparents) of everything…several get together to bring the music, others commit to bring the drinks, the food, and so on. Probably the whole town pitched in and maybe that is the reason why everyone is invited..and everyone in their best clothes, rain or shine! The young ladies with makeup, nails and hair styles done by “professionals”
Anyway, it was fabulous but we didn’t stay long, we were tired before the waltz which we learned it was amazing.
Then we spent the night at the cabin for the first time, it was a little cold but fun.
Wow! So much to share…I’m not used to write so much ;-)
