Purple loosestrife ...
... alive and well and covered in bees in the boggy bit of the garden.
A damp, muggy and murky day. The electricity went off for a couple of hours at 2.30 which seemed to make it even more miserable. I did a damp stroll around the estate and brisk walk around the circuit when it was only mizzling. The colours in the wild are also very jazzy at the moment Other than that I've done a bit of cleaning and generally chilled, the rather surreal goings on of last week still requiring a bit of downtime.
And yesterday's hurling match - OMG, I only coped with the extra time but the speed was incredible - most of the time I couldn't even see who had the sliotar/ball! Apparently the playing was astonishing and the teams were absolutely even until Clare snuck through in the last minute. Little kids start hurling from a teeny age and the girls have their own version with Camogie. It's serious.
