Friends, dogs, cats and plants

Another day when I've not left the property - in spite of it being a good day with lots of sunshine. Did some repairs to the deck this morning, following my putting my foot through it yesterday! Did some weeding too, but rather lacking in energy to do much else. My Blip today is of some of the flowers in pots by our front door.

This afternoon I had a visit from a couple of friends - the widow and daughter of a good friend who died late last year. We sat out in the sun and chatted along with tea and biscuits. Colin came to Nepal with me in 1990 and I was able to give his daughter a small plant of Begonia hatacoa PGG 209, grown from seed collected on that trip. My extra today is of a larger version of that plant!

I hadn't realised that they were bringing their small terrier with them - to my surprise our cats didn't run away from him, but sat and stared at him as though he was an alien!
