Visiting the Riverside museum

A warm, sunny day and good to walk to the Clyde to this wonderful museum with cars, trams, steam engines, bicycles, motorbikes and more, mostly from years ago. We both owned a Hillman Imp when first meeting 54 years ago, Johns car was in this colour. Later on we bought a new VW caravette, same year as photo in extra, our first camping vehicle and when living in Cumbria I had a red 2CV,   we had three of these over a few years. Definitely memory lane today.  Afterwards a good sandwich in the museum cafe. A splendid place to visit.  The cars look like dinky toys in the photo, in fact they are placed high on the wall, all part of the charm of the museum.

On the way back we decided to try the sub train, the line runs in an oval north and south of the Clyde, all very quick and efficient, easy to understand and I hope we will use it again. Leaving the station Roots and Fruits, a fruit and vegetable shop with a cafe looked enticing, and mentioned recently by ElspethAnne, I had a decaf coffee, it was good.

We booked a Persian meal for this evening and have just returned to the apartment, all very pleasant, the hummus was particularly good. Now to relax with pusscat.
