Friday walk
After yesterday's cool, grey weather - good for gardening & photographing ladybirds - today was much brighter & warmer. Originally hoped to go for a walk on the coast, but, with temperatures likely to be up to 23 deg C, and knowing that the coastal route had very little shade for our springer, we opted for another walk in the King's Forest, an area of commercial forest which is part of the overall Thetford Forest. Actually, it was a really good choice - we managed to include open and shaded sections, and the open ones had a spectacular variety of wild flowers (it's the sandy breckland soil!) and quite a few insects. I didn't take my beloved macro lens - it's heavier than I like for a 5 to 6 mile walk - but the general purpose one dealt with everything remarkably well!
