Nearly forty

The Traveller turns 39 today, which seems incredible to me. (Even more incredibly, his two older brothers will be 50 and 48 respectively in a few weeks’ time.) This is the birthday card I have made for him, which he hasn’t yet seen because he’s away attending an old school friend’s wedding.

I have every confidence that he will be underwhelmed by it when he opens it, and be completely unaware of the length of time it took to make, starting with sourcing the masculine-looking piece of artwork for the background and then searching for the number nine/six die which had gone walkabout in the craft room. 

Smithers, however, was his usual encouraging self. Which is not surprising though, really, considering that he knows from whence cometh his lemon drizzle cakes … !
