Iona
Well... Top Bunk Tales... we awoke about 7am, pretty tired and campsite noises, but surprisingly went back to sleep for an hour or so and I felt much better. It was an off/on rainy/sunny morning, sometimes heavy short showers, so it was afternoon before we got on the road, which is fine.
We decided to get the ferry to Iona for the afternoon on foot but by then the sun was out blazing. It was a short crossing, great views, Arlo not keen on the wobbly floor/wavey waves. Mrs C had picked out a beach (Port Ban) she wanted to swim to, so it was about a 4km walk to it. It was worth the walk, a gorgeous beach, even with the tide going out, she had some swims for 30 mins. There were sheep and cattle about and on the beach, so we had to keep Arlo on the lead. After walking back we went to see Iona Abbey and its cloisters, lovely.
Last ferry back to Mull, picked up some groceries then cooked tea while Arlo sat outside. Tonight we were downstair bunking so see how that works... let's see...
