I had to spend lots of time this morning returning the ball as our grandson practiced his throwing technique. Perhaps for the javelin in the 2040 Olympics?

When not getting him settled for bed we watched the opening ceremony from Paris. It had a few standout moments. Our viewing was enlivened by comments on X - formerly Twitter. The one which created the biggest laugh was a picture of our former Prime Minister and the caption “Stop the Boats”. The flotilla was a novel idea for the opening ceremony, but it did go on!
