Pest
Now, the cone flowers are not my favorite... at least not in my garden, but this little guy isn't helping matters. He's been on them for days now and the once reasonable blooms have become shredded. I couldn't find an identification, though his back legs indicate a hopper of some sort. He's approximately 3/8" long, and this tiny bugger is not easy to get an image of. (I've been trying for days.) This is the best of the bunch and it beat out my other choices today. I had a few pretty flowers and a robber fly killing a gorgeous yellow damselfly - the ladder was too sad to blip. :(
If anyone has any ideas about identification please let me know. (Have a look in large for better detail.)
