The Feast Day of Saint Pantaleon. A patron saint of the medical profession. His name means the all compassionate.
This morning I have been to buy our newspaper and I had a chat with our friend Lynn. Her wildflowers are coming along well.
The weather is mixed with sunshine, light drizzle and a cold breeze. 20c indoors.
Hunter slept out last night while Holly stayed in her cat bed.
This morning Hunter was asleep on a pile of turf Paul dug out when we decided to expand the garden planted area.
I have seen several bees this morning, humming happily on the lace cap white hydrangea.
I put some honey in water out for them, as this is recommended by wildlife groups, to give the bees extra energy during the Summertime.
I have been to the Co op mid morning to contribute a few essentials to their food bank. During the school holidays the food banks are needed by more families who have children to feed who would normally receive free school meals.
I watched the spectacular opening of the Olympics in Paris, last evening. It was marvellous.
The rose is one of 14 others on the same rose bush. They have a beautiful fragrance.
