Down By The Riverside

Bone idle day today. It feels more like a Sunday than a Saturday. 

Grace is here, she arrived last night. Mostly we have just relaxed and eaten food! We gave her her birthday presents, which she seems happy with and she gave me a slice of her birthday cake too - delicious chocolate vegan yumminess! Vegan cake has a more pudding like texture than the type with eggs in, but it's no less tasty! 

For lunch today I made vegan chicken burgers (The Tindle brand is the best I ever tried! Not an ad - just saying!) with some sweet potato fries and a bit later we had a walk along the river bank - the wilder side with no proper path, which is where this was taken.

Grace will meet up with her Lincoln friends whom she's known since her school days this evening for bowling and a catch up and Bri and I will watch more rugby.

Another defeat for Wigan Warriors last night. A proper shellacking this time, at the hands of Warrington who we beat in the Challenge Cup Final a few weeks ago. Another potential long term injury will not help matters going forward either.
