Red Throated Diver

Highly protected species the RTD with more than half the Scottish population breeding here in Shetland. Not really a surprise for me to see one however as they are regular in the bays just off beaches. The surprise here was how close to the beach this one was with the dog about and also that I was able to catch the obvious red throat.
