Caring and Sharing

It was heartening to see my Mum has been updating her scrapbook.  The level of care in the Home is exceedingly high, and that’s understating it.  Here they are on a day trip to the Isle of Sanday.  Although having earned her ice cream my Mum looks slightly bewildered. Much to our utter amazement the staff are taking several residents to Inverness for a trip !!!!!!!  No amount of exclamation marks can express our surprise.  I’m sorry if I have mentioned this before but the level of care for all of the residents is immeasurable.  The Facility manager, the day to day (and night) carers  /  the domestic staff / the admin folk / the handyman and the caterers are absolute heroes.  I am truly humbled by their support.  As a footnote my Mum indicated that everyone in the care home was either talking Italian or Welsh today.  Except her.  Two days ago I asked her who the Prime Minister is.  ‘I don’t know Iain, they change that bloody often.’  She’s not  wrong.
