Classic

Well, it had to be a classic landscape (a rarity for me) as it has been such a beautiful day and we were driving through the Dales to Sedbergh. I wanted to see how my phone would fare, but to be honest the light was so good that one couldn’t fail with any photograph.

We went for Sunday lunch at ‘The Black Bull’, which sadly was not as good as we have had there in the past - is that because the place is so well known now, through TV and restaurant reviews, for its innovative evening menus that Sunday lunch has been left by the wayside. (Should they really charge for extra gravy, when they add so little to the plate in the first place?) We won’t be returning.

I wanted to see an exhibition at Farfield Mill but we drove into an extremely full car park . . . and back out again. We will go later.
