Shell beach

This afternoon Mr hazelh and I jumped on our bikes and rode along the cycle paths to the Dalmeny Estate. Rather than stop at the sandy beach just beyond Barnbougle Castle, today we sat on the shell beach beneath Dalmeny House. I'm not sure that I have ever before seen so many cockle shells heaped up on a shoreline.

Otherwise today I have pottered, desperately trying to catch up on tasks that were neglected last week while I was entertaining our visitor.

Exercise today: 20.5 mile bikes ride; small amount of walking (~6k steps).
