Faded Glory
My pick for today is a worn female dark morph Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, the first I've seen this summer. The dark morph of this normally yellow species only occurs in females. You can see that this girl has been through some wars - she's missing part of her hind wing and one of her tails and is showing overall signs of wear. Something I can relate to.
I'm still not myself today. Can't seem to shake off the sadness. But I have some things to look forward to this week which will hopefully set me right.
Hubs and I went out for a late lunch at a local farm where we enjoyed sitting outside in the shade. The lateness of the meal also means we don't have to worry about making anything for dinner as I expect we won't be hungry. So maybe some Olympics on the TV with cuddles from Jax and Charlie.
