Morning Maneuvers
I spent some time this morning with the hummingbirds in the garden (Jax shows no interest them, thank goodness) which was a good way to start my day. This is a young male - you can see the dark spots on his throat which will eventually give way to bright ruby-colored feathers. I shot this at 1/1250 which is nowhere near fast enough to freeze the wings but I like the effect. I will probably try some shots later at 1/500 just for fun - it will most likely make the wings disappear.
I'm feeling better today although I wouldn't say I'm on completely firm ground yet. But not feeling despondent is a big step forward and I'm grateful for that. And I am very much looking forward to a blip play date tomorrow.
Extra dark for me today.
