Cordyline

I was inspired by a piece in the Guardian about Roland Ramanan photographing urban life in Gillett Square, Hackney over a 10-year period, to see if I could find something in the small reserve on Erskineville Rd to fit today’s theme.

The spiky plant (thanks for the ID, gillyh) looked better against the white building at the back, so I took the pic from the church carpark next door.

The reserve will have its makeover soon - “soon” measured in City of Sydney Council time.
