Seagulls
A beautiful summer day (at last) started with a slow breakfast in the garden identifying bird song on the Merlin App. Mornings and evenings are better and we had a list of around a dozen birds.
OH went to care home to see MIL who was getting excited about her birthday next week - 90 years old. Sadly I have neither the head space or the heart space to show much enthusiasm!
We had a late morning brunch of eggs and avo before packing the bag and heading to the beach. Lovely scenic drive through the countryside and then an afternoon listening to the waves. OH drove to get fish and chips (maybe 7/10 as the batter not particularly crisp), and we drove home for showers and the final of Sewing Bee. Another day done but No.1 very quiet and reflective again. Wishing we could wind forward a few more weeks but as ever, onward and upward.
The picture is of seagulls finishing off the remains of the fish and chips.
