Too hot..

..for lounging on the dock..and too hot to be sitting indoors watching TV as well, but it IS the Olympics so I feel somewhat justified...and  so continued watching well into the dark of night...

I did however, take a few jaunts down to the back bay, especially in the evening, hoping to cool off; I was tempted to jump in the lake, but after dark? Not a good idea. We have an outdoor shower so that is always an option...much safer...

It's the weekend, so there is a lot more action than usual out on the water.. beautiful yachts and sailboats passing by to moor in one of the sheltered bays nearby, people in dinghies and runabouts quietly fishing in our little back bay, and then, unfortunately, there are the noise-makers - the jet skis buzzing about, and those, the most unwelcome of all, the loud jet speed-boats roaring past, sounding like planes taking off! Fingers crossed  that they go home after the weekend! 

I have really enjoyed the peace and quiet here and the time to relax free of everyday pressures and the responsibilities of home... I have a few more days here by myself and then, later in the coming week, my daughter and son-in-law will arrive..and my days will become somewhat more active...  heh heh.. and napping will not be an option! 

PS: more rafting damselflies! (extra) They seem to love floating around on leaves...
