Diary of an Edinburgher

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone to the NHS this morning, to change both of our RSV vaccines slot. Away the other side of town, involving a bus then tram, at about 6pm!! Got them changed to Waverley Market in town, at a sensible hour.

We all took a walk down to the Morningside shops, JR was in pursuit of a new battery and strap for her watch. Only got one of them - he couldn’t open the watch. Still, she’s happy she can wear it. Just don’t ask her the time.

I then saw that my bus was imminent, so I came home. The others walked further. The day was not the expected hoped for sunshine, but came right in the evening.

I watched Olympic coverage, but wasn’t overly impressed. I read that the BBC hadn’t paid for as many events as usual - and it shows! There are SO MANY events on, but there just isn’t the choice on the iPlayer.

BIG DAY TOMORROW.

I’m a bit suspicious/anxious about how everyone has been saying,

‘It’ll be fine…’

‘It’s nothing…’

‘You won’t feel a thing…’

‘It’s over in minutes…’

Perhaps those who know the truth, who’ve had it done, just don’t tell anyone, or nobody would do it….

So, if I tell you tomorrow that ‘It was fine,’ well, I could be lying.
