Mono Monday - ‘Spiky’

I didn’t unpack anything at all today. However, I did fill out an(other) online form on the Council website to book a “bulky waste” collection from outside the bungalow. As I want more than six items to be taken away - bed frame, mattress and six chairs - the charge was £96.40. I suppose when you consider that there’s at least two people in the crew, a big lorry to run, plus the recycling centre itself etc etc, the cost can be justified. It would be a lot more to hire a skip big enough to fit all that lot in.

A visit to the hairdresser after lunch - such a lot has happened in the six weeks since I last had a haircut! Always good to chat with Liz. When I got home I caught up with a friend on the phone before putting out the rubbish - an extra bag today, which I suspect will be the case for some time to come as I get settled in and unpacked.
