Houttuynia cordata
At the moment we are getting a number of short stay visitors at the Lodge. One left today with another group arriving tomorrow. So today was prepping the Lodge, again. Today I had a walk to the bins. The first time for a few weeks.
Passing our neighbouring Lodge I noticed the Houttuynia and thought its a while since I did any colour popping.
I am sure Houttuynia has a common name its just I don't know it. It grows well in the UK for a plant native to South-east Asia. It is said to like moist shady locations, but any we have grown loses the red if in shade. This one is growing on a south facing bank.
