beans

Delighted to have produced a few broad beans in the garden this year.. this is our second picking and they were delicious!!  Just hope there will be more soon. 
We had our first supper outside for the year.. and it was blissful after a long hot day. 
Our eldest came over to do some washing and collect a parcel containing fabric to make some summer clothes for her holiday which starts on Friday!! Talk about being a little close to the wire!
Had a big picking of sweet peas today too.. lovely although I am very disappointed with the colours.. mostly white and light purple with just one or two deep pink.. must get that right next year.. I think loads of seed didn't come up and they must have been the rich coloured ones.. ugh!  Anyway they smell fabulous
