The Natural Order

A bit of gardening, and then a trip round to the daughter’s to fix some trickle vents to the outside of their extension’s uPVC windows which their builder neglected to do, having wanted to get off the job as quickly as he could. Say no more.
Meanwhile daan saath, that Ms Reeves, after several days of softening us up with tales of monstrous black holes in the nation’s finances, reveals where the money can be found. The well off pensioner! Jetting off on foreign holidays, sailing their yachts, shopping in Waitrose and still wanting a winter fuel allowance. I fear we’ve been rumbled. Most unfair. I mean we worked hard! Well, not on Friday afternoons but that’s a different story.
Later, a bit of theatre-come-panto up at Tynescastle Park. A truly wonderful piece of entertainment: This Is My Story, by one Paul Beeson. Oh, the laughs, the tears, the ups and downs. You get it. I even managed to entice the SK into coming along.  Their little stage, representing the much loved old shed corner will have to be disassembled in time for the season’s first game on Saturday (gulp!) but extra shows have been announced for 8-12 Aug, so get you along there, fellow jambos. OK, that’s only Iainc….
