Old Faithful…New Toy
Sadly, my little LX5 pocket camera is in dire straits..the control wheel on the back no longer operates consistently and the autofocus is, more often than not, failing to lock. I have been using manual focus more and more.
The LX5 I have at the moment was a ‘donation’ a few years ago from another blipper after my previous one died…I obviously work them too hard
In light of the shoulder and neck problems I had from lugging my 6D or R6 about I decided to invest in a new ‘premium’ compact / pocket camera. So I have taken the plunge and opted for a new SONY DSC-RX100M7…which has a useful zoom range (up to 200mm equivalent in 35mm). I may consider ditching the full frame cameras / lenses altogether. See how I get on with this new one.
The instruction book (downloaded rather than printed) is immense so it will take a while to get used to using the camera. Today was its first outing and I went to the little woods nearby to check up my old faithful fungus - the Dryad’s Saddle.
