Inside The Potting Shed

We have come away for a few days….Mrs madwill is attending the Festival of Quilts at NEC for three days. We are staying at a little place near Knowle in a converted stable block..we have stayed here a few times before..think this is our fifth or sixth time!!

I hope to be, weather permitting, doing a lot of walking..along canals mostly. If it rains a lot I may be found in a pub or a coffee shop!

Anyway, we had a leisurely trip down, stopping at Doncaster to deliver something to our daughter, then at Tibshelf for coffee and then at Calke Abbey (an NT property) for lunch and a walk!

The photo is taken inside the potting shed..loved the light streaming in through the window with the old glass cloche and weighing scales. Just such a lovely ‘mess’ of old broken pots and a bottle.
