Grumpy Old Man

Irn Bru, sporrans and annoying old men

Woke up to rain this morning, which was not what I wanted for the first afternoon of my garden tours at Dunollie. Fortunately it didn't last, and by the time I set off with Mrs M at 1.15 it was bright and fairly warm. She was joining her sewing group and I went over to the marquee - my extra today - to meet Fee and Florence and see what was going on tour wise.

While I was talking to them my friend Jamie came in. Jamie is Heritage Engagement and Access Officer and was sporting the full highland rig, including a sporran in which was strapped a can of Irn-Bru, sugar-free variety! This is my blip today.

The first tour had only four people, the second a dozen. All seemed to go well - the main part of the second group was a family from Kansas, but a rather annoying old man spent the whole tour chatting loudly to a woman at the back of the group, which must have been really annoying to those around him. He certainly wasn't talking about gardening!

Two down, five to go!
