Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

A bad hair day?

Thank you for all your good wishes for the other Marjorie. She will no doubt read them when she is well again.

There was no option except to stay in hospital last night. Since she was attached to a machine she could not stray!!

The diagnosis is a myocardial infarction and she is due to have an angiogram when a bed becomes available at the Freeman Hospital. with a view to having a stent fitted. This may take a few days.

I find that the day immediately after travelling is not to bad. I was also very busy yesterday. Today I was wiped out and it has been very hot.

Vera, cousin of Margret next door, came and we played piano duets this morning. Not great on accuracy for my part but we had a good time.

Then I slept.

My car was serviced and has returned home. Dick has been here gardening for hours. It is finally a bit cooler.

I have ordered a portable air conditioning unit. My fan is only partially successful.

There are hardly any butterflies and the buddleia is going over. Sad.

Dick and I agreed that the news is all terrible at the moment. The knife attack in Southport hardly bears thinking about, probably because it is close to home. If I allow myself to think further afield, the carnage becomes overwhelming. No cease fire in the offing yet.
