Sheringham
Early morning walk with the hound.
We set off at 9am to Sheringham. A viewing had been booked for a house we like. A hot day to travel even with aircon in the car.
The house is lovely. Mr's resistance has been broken. It is a 1930s detached house set back from the road on a corner. The garden is south facing and wraps round three sides of the house with a path bordered by fruit trees leading from the front gate to the front door from the front gate leading. The inside is light and airy with good sized rooms.
What struck us both was how much quieter it was than our house here in Cambridge. Another feature we both noticed was no bookshelves but several TVs.
Mr and I had to be shown round one at a time as someone needed to stay with the hound. They had two cockapoos and didn't like another dog in their territory. The owners were very understanding as they've had similar practice when viewing houses.
Afterwards we walked along the sea front. The water looked so inviting, it would have been delicious to have a swim but didn't bring bathers. Many of all ages were enjoying the clear, calm waters. One day soon I'll be enjoying the water too.
We're too tired to plan what we need to do next, obviously put ours on the market and possibly put some items in storage until we move.
The hound has been very good. He saw a fellow hound, much bigger. The owners were also on their third hound, their second also a black beauty like our Murray and they were impressed by how pleasant Sheringham is and are considering moving from their home in Farnham. Interesting talking to other greyhound owners.
The hound went to bed at 8pm and we've not heard a peep since. Poor boy he's exhausted.
Pleasant evening everyone.
