Interesting lamppost

Just by the bridge on my way home. The lamppost has been rewilded:) though it still works perfectly well. It’s not unusual to see a gull sitting on the lamp - in winter I think they sit there to get some warmth. Must be a great view from up there. It’s right beside the river Avon - which would be one of its key points for navigation.  Although it’s fuzzy, I like the length of the shadow of its beak down its chest.
A nice morning at Fareshare, all the usual stuff, plus training a new volunteer to do admin work on another day. She was a delightful young woman, between jobs, so wanting to do something useful and improve her CV.  I was reminded how much I enjoy teaching.
It was really hot this afternoon, and I didn’t do much. In the evening I continued to follow the rollercoaster that is Andy Murray paired with Dan Evans:-)
